Stand By Me Post

The title of the song “Stand By Me,” calls for everyone to unite as one. The lyrics ask us to unite as one across diversity lines. The video reminds us that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The use emotions leads the readers or listeners to recognize the ideas expressed are important to the writer or speaker “ stand by me” means come together as one to unite as a people. “No matter who you are, No matter where you go in life, you go need somebody, to stand by you.” The musicians are appealing to the people to get something done or calling for change. The major components used in this song is pathos. Causing the audience to feel emotions towards his music allows for a larger impact on the world. By evoking a call to unite and the use of emotional appeal to his lyrics, makes the song relatable to all audiences. The setting for the video uses multiple modes.  The lyrics, music and instruments involved also help shake the mood of the viewe

Critical Response

According to the Gerald Jones essay "Violent Media is Good for Kids", Violent media have positive effects on young people because it can help build their confidence and help conquer fears. Jones also believes it helps kids with emotional traps. Jones stated a lot of good examples. For example, He said his own son conquered his fear of climbing a tree at school after reading Tarzan comic books. On the contrary, He stated that violent media can also hurt kids as well as help them by promoting some kids to violence in real life. To sum up, Violent media can be good for a lot of kids, but for some kids promote kids to violence in real life. In Today's News, They talk about the mass killing in Florida that killed 17 people and the suspect Nikolas Cruz motives in the school shooting. I don't think the media covers this event unfairly. The Thesis statement of the essay “College Is a Waste of Time” by Dale Stephens is the sentence College is expensive in paragraph 4. The author supported his thesis with evidence in the same paragraph. The evidence he used in that same paragraph was stating that the College Board Policy Center found that the cost of college university tuition is about 3.6 times higher than it was 30 years ago.
